Speaking of understanding of Cultural Revolution, I want to recommend two memoirs. One is Professor Sun Kangyi of going white terror (Joint Publishing, September 2012), one is Miss Xu Xiaodi's upside Years (Joint Publishing, August 2012). These two books, the former is written the White Terror in Taiwan, and the latter wrote the continent Cultural Revolution. Similar to land on both sides of each wrote a special historical period. Previously strait mutual understanding between the people of both sides are unclear experienced different forms of terrorist period. Sunkang Yi is a professor at Yale University, so she has introduced many newspapers and books, and Xu Xiaodi an ordinary secondary school teachers, few people pay attention to her. Realistically speaking, writing books SUN Xu was clever than many, but the advantages of the two books together is true, and thus equally impressive, worth a read. Incidentally, in the literary genres, I feel less good fiction, and essays, memoirs were more likely such a good book. My novel is classified as junk and more, and essays, memoirs one did not.
